College student acts Barishal divisional commissioner

BARISHAL, Oct 07 (UNB):Raimu Jaman, a college student, came up with her recommendations to resist violence against women after becoming divisional commissioner of Barishal for an hour.
After receiving floral welcome she presented her suggestions for making the six districts of Barishal women-friendly.
Raimu took the symbolic duty of divisional commissioner in the afternoon for an hour and the local administration also announced to implement her recommendations.
Plan International, a private organisation, organised the event marking the International Day of the Girl Child.
A discussion programme was also held where the speakers suggested measures which should be taken to prevent violence against women and child marriage.
