College student dies with stab injuries

A college student who was stabbed on Thursday, died at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Ujjal Kharati, 18, son of Uttam Kumar Kharati, resident of Kabai-Lakhipasa village under Bakerganj upazila of Barisal district. Local UP Chairman Rafiqul Islam said Saiful Islam, son of Basir Sarder of the same area stabbed Ujjal on Thursday over playing a football match. His injuries were critical. Ujjal was admitted to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where he died. Anwar Hossain, officer-in-Charge of Bakerganj Thana confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
