College student tours on foot to flourish Bangladesh tourism

RANGPUR, Apr 21 (BSS): A college student started his 1,200 kilometre long tour on foot styled "Explore Bangladesh" from Tentulia zero point in Panchagarh to Teknaf in the Cox's Bazaar this morning.
A final year student of BBA (hons) of Titumir College in Dhaka M Z Rahman began the travelling on foot with the objective of flourishing and popularising tourism in the country.
He began his journey from Tentulia zero point to finish the same at Cox's Bazar within the next 45 days under cooperation of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and financial assistance of Dhaka Club Limited.
On the inaugural session to start travelling on foot from Tentulia zero point, Tentulia Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sheikh Mohammad Belayet Hossain was present in the ceremony at 10 am today to give him inspiration.
Earlier on Sunday afternoon, M Z Rahman attended a press conference arranged at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner of Panchagarh to inform about his venture, its goals and objectives.
Deputy Commissioner of Panchagarh Mohammad Salahuddin attended the press conference as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the travelling on foot programme.
Talking to the media workers, M Z Rahman said he wants to reach Teknaf by trekking the huge 1,200 kilometre way on foot within the 45 days.
