Commemorative note, coin to be released today

Bangladesh Bank (BB) will release a commemorative note and a coin, marking the 40 years of Bangladesh, reports UNB. BB Governor Dr Atiur Rahman will formally release the note and coin at a function today (Monday) at 3:30 pm at the BB conference room in the city. The note bearing the signature of the central bank governor will carry the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on one side and that of six valiant freedom fighters on the other side. The note will also carry messages like 'Ebarer Sangram Swadhinatar Sangram' and '40th Victory Anniversary of Bangladesh' and '2011'.
