Commercial production starts at Kumargaon Rental Power Plant

The first power plant of Energy Prima Ltd, Kumargaon 50 MW Rental Power Plant of Sylhet, has started commercial production and is supplying power to the national grid.

Kumargaon plant supplied 1,45,00,000 KWH power to the national grid from July 9 to July 20, 2008, said a press release.

During this period the 100 hours' 'continuous reliability test' was completed at the energy concern of Hosaf Group.

The 'dependable capacity test' of 6(six) hours duration was completed Tuesday and the plant continuously produced 49.90 MW power.

Bangladesh Power Development Board, after deduction of 0.900 MW being transmission and other loss, signed an agreed minutes with Energy Prima to the affect that the company was able to supply 49.00 MW power to the national grid.

This agreed minutes have been sent to BPDB Board for approval.
