Commonwealth Secy Gen due Friday

Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma arrives in Dhaka on Friday night on a three-day visit, said a senior Foreign Ministry official. He will discuss with the government the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) to be held in Malta between November 27-29 November and the fourteenth Meeting of Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers (CFAMM) to be held in New York on September 24 during his visit. Sharma is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and invite her to attend the CHOGM and discuss future programmes. Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali is likely to attend the CFAMM as he is scheduled to leave here for New York on September 23 to attend the 70th session of the UN General assembly (UNGA), said the Foreign Ministry official, according to a news agency.
