Communal forces sure to face defeat in polls: Quader

Monday, 8 January 2018

Awami League (AL) general secretary Obaidul Quader has expressed his optimism that the defeat of malevolent communal forces to non-communal forces is inevitable in the next general election, reports BSS.
"It is true that we defeated Pakistani occupation forces in the bloodstained Liberation War in 1971. But Pakistani collaborators (Rajakars) are still spreading communal hatred on the soil of Bangladesh," he said.
He was addressing a discussion marking the photo-exhibition on 'Anarchy and Arson Terrorism of BNP-Jamaat' organised by Awami League publicity and publication sub-committee at the Shilpakala Academy auditorium in the city on Sunday.
Sub-committee chairman and AL Advisory Council member HT Imam chaired the function while AL publicity and publication secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud, deputy publicity secretary Aminul Islam, deputy office secretary Biplab Barua, Dhaka City South unit of AL president Shahe Alam Murad and Central Working Committee member Advocate Riazul Kabir Kawser, among others, spoke at the discussion.
