Completion of war criminals trial within 2012 demanded

RANGPUR, Jan 8 (BSS) - Leaders of the 14-party grand alliance at a mass rally Sunday demanded completion of war criminals' trial within the year 2012.
They also demanded immediate arrest of Goam Azam and other war criminals and complete their trial soon through forming more tribunals.
Hundreds of leaders and activists of 14-party alliance, youths, Freedom Fighters (FFs) and socio-cultural personalities gathered at the rally.
President of Rangpur unit of Awami League (AL) and valiant FF Abul Mansur Ahmed chaired the mass rally held at Central Shaheed Minar premises in the city.
Tipu Munshi, MP, former AL Lawmaker Shah Abdur Razzaque, central leader of Bangladesh Workers Party Nazrul Islam Hakkani, JSD's central Organising Secretary Shakhawat Ranga and President of district Ganatantri party Arshad Harun took part in the discussion.
The speakers said the young generation wants to see an end of the process and punishment of the war criminals within this year.
They urged all for disseminating true national history and heinous atrocities committed against humanity by the war criminals to new generation for inspiring and mobilising them in building a Sonar Bangla as dreamt by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Later, a procession was brought out from the Central Shaheed Minar which ended at Shapla Chattar point.
