CLIMATE change threatens the four and half billion-year old planet as never before.
Pollution affects people across the world causing deaths and chronic health problems.
Urbanisation, industrialisation and indiscriminate tree felling across the globe are factors aggravating environmental pollution. Deforestation erodes soil, destroys biodiversity, and creates a negative impact on the environment.
Carbon emission, unless contained, would aggravate climate change threatening the planet.
Soil, air and water pollution are caused by wastes and radiation.
Excessive use of fertilisers and pesticides causes soil pollution and ruins soil fertility.
Chemical spills cause soil pollution.
Emissions from motor vehicles is a big source of air pollution. Recent studies say, Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is the world's third most air polluted city. The United Sates, China, Russia, Mexico and Japan are the world's major air polluters.
Water pollution, caused by industrial waste, sewage and oil spills, pesticides and fertilisers, remains a source of danger to life.
Trash from homes and industries, known as solid wastes, are perhaps the most visible sources of pollution.
Radiation, an invisible source of pollution, can be extremely dangerous.
Noise pollution, in urban areas can cause heart ailments and hearing loss.
Global warming has complicated issue to bring world leaders and the scientific community together to search for a solution.
Global warming or overheating of the earth's atmospheric temperature is responsible for climate change, that threatens the planet.
Reducing emissions calls for comprehensive actions by governments and private organisations.
