Comrade Farhad\\\'s 27th death anniv today

The 27th death anniversary of Comrade Mohammad Farhad, former general secretary of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), will be observed today (Thursday) in a befitting manner, reports BSS.
Comrade Farhad, also a former member of Jatiya Sangsad, died of a heart attack on this day in 1987 in Moscow at the age of 49. He went to the then Soviet Union capital for treatment.
To mark the day, the CPB and other organisations have chalked out different programmes.
The programmes include placing of wreaths at his grave in the city, discussion meeting and public meeting.
Leaders of the CPB and other organisations would lay wreaths at his grave at Banani in the city.
