Concern about education

It is frustrating to learn that only two students passed in the admission test held recently against 150 seats for the English Department of Dhaka University. Seventy thousand students got GPA 5 in the HSC examination this year.
Only around 9.0 per cent students passed in the admission test of 'Kha' unit under Dhaka University this year. Though the government wants to show that quality education has been achieved during their tenure, but the reality is different. To ensure quality education, good people should be recruited as teachers through establishing a separate public service commission.
