The conditions of three patients with injuries have deteriorated overnight at the burn and plastic surgery unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). A woman and her two children received serious burns as a petrol bomb was hurled at an auto-rickshaw by miscreants at Kazipara in the city on Sunday evening ahead of the 20-party alliance’s shutdown. The three were identified as Shamsun Nahar, 50, her daughter Anika Akter, 17, and son Tanjimul Haque, 22. Anika Akter is a HSC student while Tanjimul Haque studies at the Department of Drama and Dramatics at Jahangirnagar University. Hospital and family sources said unidentified youths hurled a bomb at the CNG-run auto-rickshaw while the woman and her 2 children were returning to their Mirpur home from Shantinagar around 7:00pm. Local people rescued them and rushed them to the DMCH, according to a news agency.
