Conference of DCs ends

The three-day annual conference of the deputy commissioners (DCs) concluded in the city on Thursday. At the conference that began at Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Tuesday, ministers, state ministers, advisers to the PM and secretaries concerned discussed 307 proposals presented by DCs in different sessions. Talking to reporters after the end of the conference, Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said almost all ministers and state ministers advised the DCs not to be influenced by political parties while discharging their duties. He also said steps will be taken to implement proposals presented by the DCs, adding that some proposals will be implemented on short-terms basis while others on long-term basis, according to a news agency.
