Confidence Cement approves 15pc cash dividend

CHITTAGONG, Jun 20: The 16th annual general meeting (AGM) of Confidence Cement Limited (CCL) was held on its factory premises in Madambibir Hat area of Sitakunda Upazila in the district Monday.
CCL Managing Director Rezaul Karim presided over the AGM, where 15 per cent cash dividend was approved for its shareholders for 2006.
Directors of the company Shah Mohammad Hasan, Imran Karim, Runu Anwar and Abdul Gaffar Dobash and a large number of shareholders were present on the occasion.
CCL earned net profit worth Tk 40.11 million in the fiscal while it was Tk 20.08 million in the previous fiscal.
Audited accounts of the company for 2006, audit report and annual report of the company were also approved in the AGM.
The AGM was conducted by CCL Company Secretary Newaz Md Iqbal Yusuf.
