Confiscate assets of NBR first secy Faisal: Court

It also orders freezing all his bank accounts

A Dhaka Court on Thursday ordered the government agencies concerned to confiscate all movable and immovable properties owned by Quazi Abu Mahmud Faisal, first secretary (taxes legal and enforcement) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
It also asked the government to freeze all the bank accounts owned by him.
Judge of the Metropolitan Senior Special Judge's court in Dhaka, Mohammad As-Shams Jaglul Hossain,
passed the order after hearing a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) seeking a confiscation on the properties.
ACC Public Prosecutor Mahmud Hossain Jahangir confirmed the court order to the FE. According to the ACC prayer submitted in the court, NBR official Quazi Abu Mahmud Faisal accumulated illegal wealth worth Tk10 billion.
