Construction of Trauma Centre progressing fast in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, Jan 2: Construction work of Trauma Centre, Golpalganj at a cost of Tk 11,71,53,000 has been progressing fast. At least 91 per cent of work has been completed.
According to public works Department (PWD), Gopalganj took possession on 03 acres of land in June, 2012. A site was selected at Gonapara near Dhaka-Khulna high way under Sadar upazila in the district for construction of the project under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Sources said, M/S Rupali Construction jv and Azad Engineering took the responsibility of construction work under the supervision of PWD, Gopalganj division. They started the work from July, 2012 with an estimated cost Tk 11,71,53,000 funded by the government.
Trauma Centre (Man building 6 storied), Doctors dormitory (4 storied), essential stuff hostel (4 storied), nurses dormitory, (2 storied), sub-station building, Pump house, reservoir plant, drainage, boundary wall, garden, garden fencing, external water supply, site development, RCC road, 400 KVA Sub-station with feeder cable and external electrification L.T. over head line and compound light etc. were included the work.
When contracted to Joarder Tabedum Nabi, Executive Engineer of Public Works Department (PWD), Goplaganj told the FE that above 91 per cent work of the project have already been completed.
