SYLHET, Mar 24 (UNB): Badiul Alam Majumder, secretary of civil society platform Shushashoner Jonno Nagorik (Sujan) on Saturday said that the country would face dire consequences if the upcoming parliamentary election is held controversially.
He was speaking as the chief guest at its divisional meeting at a city hotel.
Badiul Alam said the Election Commission (EC) will have to play an important role to hold the polls neutrally and inclusively.
The EC will consult with all political parties to ensure the participation of all the parties in the upcoming 11th parliamentary election, he opined.
