Cooperative day observed at Madaripur

MADARIPUR, Nov 03: Cooperative day was observed in a befitting manner at Madaripur on November 1. The Central Co-operative Bank arranged a programme to mark the day.
The programme included discussion meeting and rally. Shasi Kumer Singh, deputy commissioner of Madaripur, attended a function as the chief guest. A procession was brought out in the town, that paraded the main roads and ended on the premises of the bank. Later on a meeting was held there with Abul Hossain Kanchan, president of the central bank, in the chair. The meeting was addressed, among others, by Cooperative Officer Tofayel Ahmed, Haji Jahir Hossain, Imran Ebadulla and Advocate Abul Kalam Majumder.
