Cop dies in road accident

A police constable has been killed in a road accident in Harinchara area on the Hartikumrul-Banpara highway under Tarash Upazila in Sirajganj district. The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman, 48, son of Altaf Hossain of Trishal of Mymensingh district. He was a constable of Hartikumrul Highway Police Station. Police Sergeant Iqbal Hossain said a speeding truck hit Habib in the area on Tuesday while he was on duty. He died on the spot, according to a news agency.
