Cops arrest Jubo Dal leader for felling roadside trees in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, Sept 15 (UNB): Police arrested a local Jubo Dal leader on charges of cutting down more than one hundred trees owned by the government besides Chandpur-Faridganj-Raipur regional highway in Faridganj upazila on Friday afternoon.
The arrestee Md Nasiruddin alias Cut Nasir, joint secretary of upazila unit of Jubo Dal, was later sent to jail after being produced before a local court in a case filed with Faridganj Police Station for illegally cutting roadside trees of the Forest Department, said Rajiv Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of the police
station.
