Cops nab five over killing student in Shankhari Bazar

Police have arrested five people as suspects in the killing of college student Raunak Hossain Rano during Dol (spring) festival at Shankhari Bazar in Old Dhaka, reports bdnews24.com.
The police detained them from different locations in the city, Inspector Jaan-e-Alam of Kotwali thana said.
However, police did not reveal the identity of the detainees.
Raunak (18) was stabbed by a group of young men amid a crowd of Dol revellers on March 1. He succumbed to his injuries on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
A student of Azimpur New Paltan Line School and College, Raunak was the son of Shahid Miah in Kamrangir Char area. He went to Old Dhaka to celebrate Dol with friends.
According to the CCTV footage collected by police, at least four to five young men committed the murder in a quick attack. The motive of the murder could be a dispute over a romantic relationship, police said.
