Cops nab JL man with firearms in Chattogram

CHATTOGRAM, Nov 03 (UNB): Police arrested a local Jubo League (JL) leader after a reported gunfight and recovered huge firearms and ammunition from his house in Mogdhara village in Sandwip upazila on Friday.
The arrestee Zahid Sarwar Prakash Shimul is organising secretary of Sandwip Upazila Jubo League.
Five policemen including Sandwip Police Station officer-in-charge of Md Shahjahan were injured in the gunfight, said of Shompa Rani Saha, assistant superintend of Shitakunda police.
