Cops yet to make headway in Bogra SB heist, 8 more held

BOGRA: Police in their overnight drive Tuesday detained eight more people as they could make any breakthrough in the looting of Tk 3.8 million from the Adamdighi branch of Sonali Bank Ltd even after four days.
Inspector Jahurul Islam of Adamdighi Police Station, also the investigation officer of the case filed in connection with the burglary, said they detained the eight people from different places of the district for interrogation, according to a news agency.
 They are welding workers Biplab, Shahadat Hossain, Ashraful Islam and Rabiul Islam, Shahadat’s wife Afroza, local registry office employee Majibar Rahman, and truck drivers Noyon Hossain and Shahadat Ali.
With this, a total of 16 people have so far been arrested in connection with the incident.
