Copying in the LLB examinations
Saturday, 10 December 2011
Unfair means or copying in the examination is a social disease and a crime too. Only policy-making is not enough to upgrade the standard of the education. Increasing the ratio of the percentage of the successful students may be needed but a more important need is to increase the standard of education.
Strict vigilance is required to free the public examinations from copying. Otherwise there can be no improvement in the quality of education.
The LLB final examinations are now in progress in which I am taking part at Mirpur Bangla College centre. Rampant copying is on in this centre. Most of the candidates are copying in a free style.
One female student sitting just in front me is copying every day from the beginning till end. My attention gets distracted from her body movement as she opens her bag for finding out copies. I would request the centre authorities to take necessary steps against copying including banning vanity bags in the examination hall.
