Corn falls as US harvest expected to advance

SYDNEY, Oct 31 (Reuters): US corn futures edged lower for a third consecutive session on Wednesday as favourable weather is set to allow farmers to advance harvesting.
The most active corn futures on the Chicago Board Of Trade were down 0.1 per cent to $3.64-1/4 a bushel by 0051 GMT, near the session low of $3.64 a bushel - the lowest since Oct 26.
The most active soybean futures were little changed at $8.83 a bushel, having firmed 1.0 per cent on Tuesday.
The most active wheat futures were down 0.4 per cent at $4.97-3/4 a bushel, having closed down 1.5 per cent on Tuesday. Largely favourable weather for harvesting in the US Midwest is keeping open the window for more farmers to finish gathering bumper corn and soybean crops.
