Corn hits six-day high as rain delays sowing

SYDNEY, May 16 (Reuters): US corn futures edged higher on Wednesday as forecasts for rains stoked concerns of planting delays, pushing prices to a six-day high.
The most active corn futures on the Chicago Board Of Trade were up 0.1 per cent to $4.02-3/4 a bushel by 0140 GMT, near the session high of $4.03-1/4 a bushel - the highest since May 10. Corn gained 1.5 per cent in the previous session.
The most active soybean futures were down 0.4 per cent to $10.14-1/4 a bushel, having firmed 0.1 per cent on Tuesday.
The most active wheat futures were up 0.2 per cent to $4.92-1/4 a bushel, having closed up 0.5 per cent on Wednesday.
