Coronavirus cases jump to 8481 in Ctg dist, 4,462 in Sylhet div

The number of coronavirus positive cases reached 8481 in Chattogram district and 4,462 in Sylhet division, report agencies.
In Chattogram, the number of coronavirus (Covid-19) positive cases reached 8481 as highest ever 445 people were tested positive on a single day at the six laboratories after testing 1594 samples in the district in the last 24 hours.
Civil surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi told the news agency said that on Tuesday that two died taking the number of deaths from coronavirus (Covid-19) to 170 death toll in Chattogram.
A total of 898 persons were released from the hospital after recovery from Covid-19 infection till Tuesday, he added.
Dr Rabbi told that a total of 45 new Covid-19 patients were diagnosed with the coronavirus at Chattogram University after testing 151 samples in the last 24 hours
A total of 31 new Covid-19 patients were diagnosed with the corona virus at BITID, Chattogram after testing 216 samples in the last 24 hours.
In Sylhet, with the detection of 169 more cases in the Sylhet division, the total confirmed coronavirus cases have jumped to 4,462.
