Coroners submit N\\\'ganj victims\\\' autopsy reports

Coroners have submitted the autopsy reports of Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC)'s panel mayor Nazrul Islam, senior lawyer Advocate Chandan Kumar Sarkar and five other local Awami League/Jubo League leaders and activists. Narayanganj District Hospital’s resident physician Md Asaduzzaman Miah, who headed the forensic team, submitted the reports to Civil Surgeon Dulal Chandra Chowdhury on Wednesday. Their post mortem examinations were held between the night of Apr 30 and the morning of May 1, said the civil surgeon adding the men had been killed anytime between 48 to 72 hours before the post mortems began. The victims had been knocked unconscious by striking a blow to the head before strangling them to death by ropes, added Chowdhury. The killers hacked the stomach of the bodies before dumping them to the river, which, the civil surgeon said, was done so that the bodies can’t float. “Such killings are not possible by other than trained and professional killers,” he told reporters, adding each of the victims was killed in the same manner, according to bdnews24.com.
