Corporate bodies, banks donate money to CA's relief fund for flood victims

A number of corporate bodies and banks continued donations of money to the Chief Adviser's (CA) relief fund for helping the flood-affected people across the country.
Islamic Banks Consultative Forum (IBCF) Chairman Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher and Vice-Chairman Md Nazrul Islam Majumder handed over a cheque worth Tk 14 million (1.40 crore) to CA Fakhruddin Ahmed at his office in the city Wednesday.
Of the donation, Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited contributed Tk 5.0 million, EXIM Bank Limited Tk 5.0 million, Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited Tk 1.0 million, Southeast Bank Limited Tk 1.0 million, Prime Bank Limited Tk 1.0 million and Social Investment Bank Limited donated Tk 1.0 million. Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd has decided to donate an additional Tk 2.0 million to the CA's Fund.
Besides, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President Hossain Khaled, on behalf of the chamber, handed over a cheque of Tk 2.5 million to the CA's relief fund Wednesday for the flood victims.
Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) board of directors Chairman SA Chowdhury and Managing Director M Fazlul Haque handed over a cheque of Tk 2.5 million to the CA's fund for the flood-affected people.
Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) President Md Abdullah Bokhari and CEO Salahuddin Ahmed Khan Wednesday handed over a cheque of Tk 2.0 million to the CA on behalf of the DSE members, officers and employees.
On the same day, Mutual Trust Bank Limited Chairman Samson H Chowdhury and Managing Director Kazi Md Shafiqur Rahman handed over a cheque of Tk 1.15 million to the CA's fund.
Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President (in-charge) MA Latif, on behalf of the chamber, also handed over a cheque of Tk 1.0 million to the CA's fund Wednesday.
