Corruption, terrorism, militancy obstruct dev: Dr Kamal

MANIKGANJ, Sept 8 (UNB): Gono Forum President Kamal Hossain Saturday said corruption, terrorism and militancy have obstructed development of the country.
"Those who indulged in corruption are the enemies of the country and its people. The people in general are victims of corruption", Kamal told a meeting while distributing seeds among flood-affected farmers.
The eminent jurist said he was confident that corruption could be checked if the people stood united.
Later, talking to newsmen Kamal said the culture of corruption took root because of atrophied politics could not be eliminated overnight.
"We have to wait if we want to derive the benefits of the ongoing anti-corruption drive. Small corruptions should also be checked along with the big ones."
