Corruptions take place in recruitment, Promotion, transfer: ACC chairman

BOGRA, Nov 8 (BSS): Chairman of the Anti- corruption Commission (ACC) Golam Rahman said most of the corruptions take place in the process of recruitment, promotion and transfer of the government officials.
He said that the ACC would take punitive measures against these types of corruptions after those documents reach the ACC office.
Golam Rahman said these during a discussion with government officials at the conference room of the deputy commissioner's office as the chief guest Sunday.
Deputy Commissioner of Bogra district Iftekharul Islam Khan presided over the discussion.
The ACC chief said corruption is a social disease, which shatters harmony in the society.
Seeking cooperation of the concerned government officials in this regard, he also said that the commission would carry out its duties remaining above all pressures.
"The ACC has been working relentlessly to remove this vice from the society," he added. The function was also addressed, among others, by Police Super Humayun Kabir, Civil Surgeon Dr Abdul Haque, Additional deputy Commissioner (ADC) (revenue) Munir Chowdhury, District Education Officer Khandakar Rezaul Karim and district Awami League President Alhaj Momtaj Uddin.
