Councillor Oliar\\\'s death: Hartal underway in Noapara

A dawn-to-dusk hartal called by Sangram Committee protesting the killing of Oliar Rahman, councillor of Noapara municipality and also joint secretary of the Abhaynagar Upazila unit of Awami League, is passing peacefully in Noapara town of Jessore on Wednesday. Picketing by the committee supporters was seen in different parts of the town in the morning. Most of the super markets, shops, private offices and non-government factories remained closed and almost all modes of vehicles remained off the streets. No untoward incident was reported till filing of this report at 10:30am, according to a news agency.
