Country badly needs skilled human resources: Amu
Thursday, 6 February 2014
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu on Thursday said the country badly needs skilled human resources for the development of its industries and tapping high-paid job opportunities in the Middle Eastern countries. The private sector in the country still lacks the skilled human resources at the management level, while the overseas job seekers from the country are not finding better-paid jobs as they lack the technical skills, said the Industries Minister. He was addressing an orientation programme organised by the Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM) on its campus for the students admitted to five Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) courses under session 2014. The government wants to transform the BIM into a centre of excellence in terms of the capacity to provide skilled human resources at the management level of the industrial sector, both at home and abroad, he said, according to a news agency.
