Country can prosper only under pro-liberation force: PM

Expressing her firm optimism to fight with the developed countries in many areas within 2041, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said, the country can prosper under pro-liberation force. "Bangladesh is progressing fast because of pro-liberation force is in power. With its current progress, we would be able to compete with the developed countries in many areas by 2041," she said. The Prime Minister said this while inaugurating ICC standard Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, a venue of ICC WT20 Cricket Cup tournament here today. Constructed at a cost of Taka 86 crore, the stadium surrounded by scenic natural beauty including tea gardens and small hills would be one of the attractive cricket venues of the world. Bangladesh will host the tournament next month and a number of matches both of men's and women team would be held in Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The Prime Minister said, "Under the leadership of Bangabandhu, we have fought together to liberate the country. As the pro- liberation force, we know how to develop the country," she said, adding, "A nation which achieves freedom by spilling bloods, knows how to build up its dignity", according to BSS.
