Country continues to report zero death

Bangladesh reported 37 Covid-19 cases with the virus test-positivity rate inching down to 0.77 per cent on Monday.
The Covid-19 infection rate was 0.86 per cent on Sunday.
However, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) report zero death from coronavirus during the last 24 hours until 8:0am on the day. With the latest daily counts, the total fatalities from Covid-19 reached 29,127 since the virus was detected in the country in March 2020.
Some 4,790 samples were tested during the last 24-hour reporting time while 4,792 samples were collected during the period.
On the other hand, a total of 220 people recovered from the coronavirus disease in the country during the last 24-hour reporting time, said the DGHS press release. The rate of recovery was 97.27 per cent on the day, it added. The rate of fatalities from coronavirus disease remained static at 1.49 per cent.
According to the official data, the total Covid-19 cases have cases crossed 1.95 million in Bangladesh and nearly1.90 million of them recovered from the deadly disease.
Meanwhile, the overall number of Covid cases globally has surged past 521 million amid a rise in new infections in parts of the world.
