Country enters video conferencing age

FE Report | Tuesday, 3 June 2008

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has allowed the country's corporate entities to use video conferencing facilities on non-commercial basis.

In an announcement Monday, BTRC said the facilities can be used for internal usage. However, some terms and conditions must be strictly complied with for this purpose, it added.

A comprehensive regulatory guideline will be formulated in future to address video conferencing on commercial basis and the usage of IP-PABX, the regulator said.
