Country faces manpower crisis in Nuke-medicine sector

Speakers at a symposium in the city Friday said the country faces manpower crisis in nuclear medicine sector and demanded immediate review of the situation to recruit more scientists to extend the facility countrywide, reports UNB.
The demand came from the inaugural session of the two-day 14th National Conference and Symposium of Society of Nuclear Medicine, Bangladesh (SNM,B) at city's Shahbagh.
SNM,B President Professor Dr MF Kabir presided over the function.
Addressing the function as the chief guest, State Minister for Science and ICT Yafes Osman said the government would extend all possible cooperation for the development of nuclear medicine in the country.
He said that the Atomic Energy Commission operates 14 nuclear medicine establishments at different locations across the country to play its role in improving the quality of service.
