Tuesday, 3 November 2020

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said on Monday the country is now desperately in need of brave patriots to resolve its current political crisis, reports UNB.
"There's a crisis in the country. Courage, patience and patriotism are now very much needed to overcome the prevailing political crisis of the country," he said.
The BNP secretary general made the remarks while speaking at a programme organised by Sadeque Hossain Khoka Smriti Parishad at the National Press Club in the city on Monday, marking the first death anniversary of late BNP vice chairman and undivided Dhaka city mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka.
Fakhrul also inaugurated a two-day photo exhibition on Khoka's life and work.
Narrating the colourful life of Khoka, the BNP leader said, "It's very difficult to attend and speak at Khoka Bhai's death anniversary programme. I don't know how to talk about the man who was the true friend of people of all strata. I've rarely seen such a popular, patriotic and tolerant person like him (Khoka) in my life."
The BNP leader said Khoka was not a blind politician as he was above all narrowness. "I never saw him criticising the leaders of other parties. He used to tell me one thing, "brother never loses patience."
He said Khoka worked throughout his life for the welfare of people as he was a leader of people.
Fakhrul said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia liked Khoka very much. "He also had great respect for her. When I met him last time, he told me not to leave Madam (Khaleda) ever."
