Country to see massive change if AL remains in power: Minister

Bangladesh will witness a massive change if Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina remains in power for five more years, said Posts, Telecommunication and ICT minister Mostafa Zabbar, reports BSS.
"I don't think 2018 is the last year of this government . . . if Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina can lead the nation for five more year, she will be able to change the look of the country significantly ," said the minister while speaking at the opening ceremony of a three-day Smartphone and Tab Fair at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BCCI) in the city on Thursday.
State minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak attended the event as the special guest.
Mostafa Zabbar, newly-appointed minister for ICT, said more smartphone and tab fair will have to be organised in the country. "I hope that such fair will be organised in all eight divisional cities in 2018," he added.
Terming the present government as a technology- friendly one, Mostafa Zabbar said 10 per cent export incentive will be given to hardware, software and service and such incentive will be increased in the next budget.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the government has brought down tax on 94 types of equipment for the development hardware industry and expressed the hope that earnings from this industry will cross $5 billion mark by 2021.
