Couple killed in city road crash

A couple was killed, as a bus rammed into their motorbike at the city's Moghbazar Saturday morning.
The deceased were identified as Saiful Huda Shaheen, 36, a marketing officer of D-Structure Engineering Company, and his wife Soheli Akther Shampa, 30, an administration officer of daily Janakantha.
Police said the accident occurred when a speedy bus of Balaka Paribahan hit their motorbike from behind, leaving Shaheen dead on the spot and his wife critically injured at around 9:30 am on their way to offices.
Soheli was rushed to Holy Family Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries at 2:30 pm. The bodies were handed over to their relatives after autopsy.
Ramna Police seized the killer bus, while its driver managed to flee the scene. A case was filed in this connection.
