Couple robbed of Tk 128,000

A gang of muggers snatched away Tk 128,000 from a couple at Taltola in Sylhet on Tuesday afternoon. The victims were identified as Rabindra and his wife, hailing from Mirzajangal area of the north-eastern city. Rabinrda said a gang of eight muggers on four motorcycles intercepted them in front of Hotel Bilash at Taltola and snatched away his wife’s vanity bag while they were returning to their residence. The criminals took away Tk 0.12 million, which the couple had just withdrawn from a bank, and disposed the bag off over there, according to UNB.
