Couple slaughtered in M\\\'singh

Miscreants slaughtered a couple in a house in Akua area in Mymensingh town on Saturday night. The deceased were identified as Abdul Haq, a retired government officer and his wife Raihatunnessa. Kotwali Model Police Station officer-in-charge Abu Md Fazlul Karim said the miscreants entered the house of the couple sometime on Saturday night and slaughtered them with a sharp weapon. When they were fleeing local people caught one of them named Mostafa and handed him over to police after a mass-beating. Police said previous enmity might be the reason behind the murder, according to UNB.
