Course on TV journalism ends

The certificate awarding ceremony of two training courses on 'TV Journalism' and 'TV News Presentation' conducted by Bangladesh Institute of Journalism and Electronic Media (BIJEM) held Saturday (May 2) at the conference room of the institute, said a press release issued Saturday.
Chairman and CEO of Universal Koba Corporation Ltd, Edinburg, UK Dr Wali Tasar Uddin who is also Chairman of Sylhet Women's Medical College and Hospital was present as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the participants.
In his speech, the chief guest said that ensuring free flow of information and maintaining objectivity in news are the most significant issues in journalism.
In order to become a skilled journalist, one should be knowledgeable in news and journalism, as well as proficient in modem ICT, he said.
BIJEM Executive Director Mirza Tarequl Qader presided over the function.
