Court asks IO to submit probe report on Oct 13

The court has instructed the investigation officer of the Narayanganj multiple murders to submit the probe report on October 13, reports bdnews24.com
Senior Judicial Magistrate of Narayanganj, AKM Mahiuddin gave the order Wednesday after hearing the cases filed over the sensational murder of seven people, including a City Corporation councillor and a senior lawyer.
Court police inspector Md Habibur Rahman said that 15 accused, including former RAB officials, ex-Lt Col Tarek Sayeed Mohammad, former RAB-11 commander, ex-Maj Arif Hossain and ex-Lt Commander MM Rana, were presented before the court Wednesday.
The court has set October 13 for the next date of hearing.
Narayanganj District Lawyers' Association president Sakhawat Hossain said, "The court ordered the investigation officer (IO) to submit the probe report on October 13."
Narayanganj City Corporation Councillor Nazrul Islam, senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarkar and five others went missing on April 27. Their bodies were recovered from the Shitalakhya River several days later.
Relatives of Islam and Sarkar filed two separate cases over the incident.
