Court defers Holey Artisan attack case hearing until May 20

Tuesday, 14 May 2019

An anti-terror special court in Dhaka adjourned on Monday the hearing of a case filed over the grisly militant attack on Holey Artisan Bakery in 2016 until May 20, reports BSS.
Judge Md Mujibur Rahman of Dhaka Anti-terrorism Special Tribunal set the date allowing a time plea of the prosecution as the jail authorities couldn't produce the accused before the court.
Militants killed 20 innocent people, most of them foreigners, in the attack carried out on July 1, 2016. Two police officials valiantly laid down their lives while trying to save people there. Later, five militants were killed in a commando operation.
Police filed the case under the anti-terror act with Gulshan thana.
