Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ashraf Uddin Monday set a new date for submission of the report for Oct 22.
On April 9, Tajul Islam Faruk filed an extortion case of Tk 30 million (3 crore) with Tejgaon Police Station against the former prime minister.
The Awami League president and her personal staffer Manu Majumdar were included as accused in the case. According to law, the investigating officer will either submit a chargesheet against the accused on Oct 22, or a final report clearing them of charges.
The investigation report was first due to be submitted on Aug 12, when it was deferred for the first time, and was again due to be submitted Monday. Jane Alam, Tejgaon police chief, is investigating the case.
