Court freezes 21 A/Cs of Fazle Noor Taposh, sons

A Dhaka court ordered to freeze 21 bank accounts of former Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh and his two sons, Sheikh Fazle Nawar and Sheikh Fazle Nashwan.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order on Monday, allowing a plea filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), reports agencies.
The petition states that while serving as the mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation, Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh abused his power and unlawfully acquired assets worth Tk 731.9 million.
