Court orders gazette notification to summon Tulip by April 8

A Dhaka court has ordered authorities to publish a gazette notification by April 8, summoning Tulip Siddiq, niece of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and former assistant legal adviser of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha Sardar Mosharraf Hossain, reports BSS.
The two are accused of illegally taking a flat from a private developer in the capital's Gulshan-2 area.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order on Sunday as the authorities concerned failed to submit the gazette before the court.
The court on March 8 had ordered to publish the gazette and set Sunday for submitting a report in this connection.
Earlier on February 18, the court issued arrest warrants against Tulip Siddiq and Sardar Mosharraf Hossain. Police on March 8, submitted a report saying they had failed to arrest the accused.
Following this, Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the latest order.
