Court rejects bail for Ducsu VP candidate Jalal

A Dhaka court has rejected the bail petition of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) independent vice-president (VP) candidate Jalal Ahmad in an attempted murder case, reports bdnews24.com.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate GM Farhan Ishtiaq passed the order on Tuesday after Jalal's lawyer Rafiqul Islam Himel submitted the petition. Prosecutor Shamsuddoha Suman opposed the bail.On Monday, Jalal's lawyer had withdrawn another bail petition, citing a lack of preparation.
