Court rejects Ijaz's bail petition

LAHORE, Apr 22 (AP): A Pakistani court Wednesday rejected a bail application by former Test cricketer Ijaz Ahmed.
"We have not received the detailed judgment, but yes our bail application was today rejected," Ahmed's lawyer, Kashif Javed, told The Associated Press.
Ahmed (40) has been accused of issuing checks worth more than $130,000 without sufficient funds to cover them.
